- There are lots of ways to be a grandmother these days. Some have grandkids close. Some have them far away. Some are actually filling the role of parent because their grandchildren's parents cannot care for them. Some are not allowed to see their grandchildren. No matter what situation you find yourself in as a grandmother, Faith-filled Grandmothers is for you. It offers advice with empathy, and scriptures and prayers that relate to where you are. I love that this advice is not just from one perspective. It was compiled from a group of many grandmothers in all different seasons and scenarios. A great book of hope and inspiration for all grandmothers.

Each chapter of this inspirational book is punctuated with scripture and prayers that reinforce the topic of the chapter. Whether it is long distance grand parenting, worrying about grandchildren, not being allowed to be a part of a grandchild's life or physical limitations this book offers sincere and practical advice and real life experiences from hundreds of grandmothers who joined together to offer their thoughts and experiences.

1 like - Teresa Kindred, in her new book" The Faith Filled Grandmother" shares real life joys and tears of being a MiMi or Nana. How to grow your grandchildren's faith, tips for staying connected when you are a long distance Grammy, and lots of advice from real grandmothers. She doesn't mince words when she describes the pain of families who are estranged from each other. Practical advice for those feeling like they are the only ones traveling the grandparent road, especially for those who feel alone in the journey. I recommend this highly for all grandmothers, and it is a beautiful book too so would make a great gift .

I highly recommend this book for anyone who is privileged to reach grandparent status! There are not many books for us...this one defintely belongs on your shelves!
